EDC 2UNED

PC Performance Tuning

This is the performance shop side of EDC²

Whether you’re trying to squeeze a little more performance for a competitive edge, or you’ve basically sent a piston through the stratosphere and your baby is broken and needs a proper rebuild, this is where we dig in and fix it.
My job is to find your rig’s safe, stable performance ceiling – whether you’re running high-end water-cooled hardware that deserves better than a stock tune, or a prebuilt/hand-me-down system that’s just a few smart adjustments away from its real potential.

Your hardware was built for more than a basic stock tune!

What Is Overclocking?

If you’ve ever taken a car to a performance tuner, you already understand overclocking – even if you’ve never heard the word before.

From the factory, both engines and CPUs come “detuned” on purpose. Manufacturers have to account for machining differences, heat, emissions, fuel quality, and warranty safety margins. So instead of giving every chip its true potential, they ship a safe, middle-of-the-road tune that works “well enough” for everyone.

Going to a performance shop lets you unlock the power the engine already had – you’re not changing the engine; you’re optimizing it. Overclocking is the exact same concept for your PC.

Car tuning vs. PC tuning:

  • Instead of fuel trims, I’m tuning voltages.
  • Instead of spark & timing, I’m tuning frequencies and power curves.
  • Instead of boost targets, I’m tuning turbo/boost behavior on your GPU.
  • Instead of dyno pulls, we use benchmarks and real-world gaming loads.

Some chips respond mildly. Some respond wildly. Just like engines, every chip is different. My job is to find your rig’s safe, stable performance ceiling – especially if you’re running high-end parts that deserve better than a stock tune.

I specialize in high-end gaming PCs and serious hardware – not budget office boxes or long-retired Windows 7 machines. Think of EDC²UNED as the performance shop you go to when you actually care what your rig can do.

How the Tiers Break Down

All tuning is done with a high‑end, enthusiast mindset. I specialize in performance hardware and strong networking – not grandma’s decade‑old desktop. Think of this as a tuner shop for gaming rigs, not an oil‑change lane.

Drop‑In Tune – $150

“Stage 1” for your rig.

Safe, conservative overclock on the hardware you already own. Good if you want a simple, affordable performance bump without going deep.

You’ll feel the difference – and probably start eyeing the custom options.

Custom Street Tune – $250

Dialed for your exact PC.

More hands‑on tuning tailored to your specific CPU, GPU, cooling, and games. Built to squeeze more out of your setup

Ideal for most serious gamers who want their hardware to finally act like the money they spent on it.

Performance Tune – $500

Tuned + 14 days of support.

Everything in Custom Street Tune plus two weeks of remote management, with extra attention on hotspot temps and case airflow under real game loads.

This is the, I bought the whole damn CPU I'm gonna use the whole damn CPU!

Full Send Package – $750

Tune, support, & mod help.

Top‑shelf tune plus 30 days of remote support and modding help for titles like Minecraft, Skyrim, and Valheim. This is the “let’s really build this thing” tier.

If your PC is your main hobby, this is the tier that keeps you out of the weeds and in the game.

Mod Support & Remote Packages

Every game, mod loader, and server stack is a little different. Instead of flat pricing, mod support is scoped around your setup – whether that’s a single-player mod pack or a dedicated server for friends.

Client-Side Mod Help

Help installing, updating, and troubleshooting mods for games like Minecraft, Skyrim, Valheim, and more.

Great if you want a heavily-modded single-player experience without living in crash logs and load-order purgatory.

Server & Modpack Support

Support for dedicated servers, modpacks, and small communities. We’ll look at performance, plugins, backups, and update strategy.

Perfect if you’re hosting friends, a community, or want your own private “always on” world.

Remote Management Blocks

Book me in blocks of time for deeper work: diagnosing conflicts, rebuilding packs, or performance-tuning heavily modded setups.

Pricing is discussed case-by-case after a quick discovery chat about your game, mods, and goals.

Hardware Modding & Hand-Tuning

Some projects go beyond BIOS and software. From Steam Deck thermal mods to fan swaps and shroud work, I’m comfortable opening hardware and making it behave.

Hand-Tuned Handhelds

Steam Deck and similar devices: improved cooling, thermal pad work, fan curve tuning, and firmware-level tweaks.

Targeted Hardware Fixes

Replacing failing fans, improving contact on heatsinks, cleaning up OEM paste jobs, and generally making “almost good” hardware actually good.

Consult-First Approach

We’ll talk risk, warranty, and goals before a single screw is turned so you know exactly what we’re doing and why.

Showcase: Custom Builds

Beyond tuning, I build rigs that look as good as they run. This is where high-end parts, clean cable work, airflow, and theme come together.

Props, Hero Pieces, & Case Themes

I also build hero props and themed pieces – 3D printed, bondo’d, sanded, primed, airbrushed, and layered until they look like they walked out of the game. That same process can be applied to PC cases.
